Nordic Now! is a seminar and a publication organized by Camilla Kragelund, Hannamari Shakya and Nina Strand, editors-in-chief of the independent photo magazines Filter (based in Copenhagen, Denmark), Photo Raw Magazine (based in Helsinki, Finland), and Objektiv (based in Oslo, Norway). The main idea is to look at contemporary photography from the Nordic countries. The seminar will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark on June 14-15 as part of the Copenhagen Photo Festival. We have invited photographers, critics, and researchers from Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark to present their views and thoughts on the tendencies of the photography scene of 2012. Along with works by various Nordic photographers, the outcome of the seminar will be published by Objektiv, Photo Raw, and Filter in a joint special issue to be launched at Paris Photo in November 2012.
